MKC Cassette Oil Seals are engineered multi-lip, fully integrated sealing systems designed for severe-duty environments prone to heavy contamination. Unlike standard oil seals, a Cassette seal incorporates an internal wear sleeve, primary sealing lips, and multiple specialized dust exclusion lips within a single, unitized assembly. This unique enclosed design eliminates the need for expensive shaft hardening and precision grinding, protecting the internal sealing mechanism from external mud, water, slurry, and dust.
To accommodate diverse mechanical structures and operating conditions, MKC offers the Cassette series in a wide range of specialized profiles, including TCY, TAY, SYA, AXLE, and QLFY configurations.
Applications
Designed for heavy-duty contaminated equipment: agricultural machinery (tractors, combines), construction equipment (excavators, track rollers), commercial vehicle wheel hubs, and industrial heavy drives (mixers, conveyors). Fits low-medium speed rotary conditions with severe external debris and high fluid retention needs.
Selection Guide
Choose profile by environmental severity and application sector (e.g., AXLE for commercial hubs, SYA for slurry). Confirm operating temperature, linear shaft speed, and lubricant type first. We provide NBR, AEM, and FKM elastomer options with optional Stainless Steel (SS304/SS316) components for rugged heavy-duty devices.
Materials
Available materials for Cassette heavy seals: reliable NBR for standard gear oil, premium AEM (Vamac®) for high-and-low temperature flexibility, and high-chemical resistance FKM. Outer casings can be upgraded to Stainless Steel for anti-corrosion.
